The first stage of classical Christian education is called "Grammar," which by definition is the basic principle or rules of various subjects. Young children are able to memorize large amounts of information quite easily and we make it fun through songs and rhymes. Our young students memorize Scripture, rules of phonics and spelling, rules of grammar, the vocabulary of Latin, the stories of history and literature, the facts of mathematics, and so much more. Absorbing facts during these early years lays the foundation for advanced study in the older grades.
